Hun Sen announces free public bus services expansion

Prime Minister Hun Sen yesterday announced the expansion of the provision of free bus services for the next two years to monks, senior citizens, person with disabilities, workers, students and children under one metre in height.

 

Late last year, the government had announced to provide free of charge public bus service in order to help improve the lives of Cambodian workers, students, monks, elderly and disabled persons. According to a release from Council of Ministers, Mr Hun Sen’s announcement was made during the cabinet meeting at the Peace Palace yesterday.

 

“The royal government has decided for Phnom Penh Autonomous Bus Transportation Authority to continue providing free of charge public bus service for the next two years for all monks, senior citizens, person with disabilities, workers, children, students and workers.” the statement said.

so pretty much anyone except unemployed people and children over a meter tall?
