Anyone have any stories on this topic ? say you live many stories up you are in trouble . Lifts do go wrong from time to time i got stuck in one once , it took me 2 hours to get out .

samran Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 given how much the average Thai HATES to walk anywhere, especially if it involves going up a flight of stairs, I suspect the lift will be fixed pretty quick smart.

If it's one of the multinationals it would be fixed quickly, but if they have a fly-by-nighter then your guess is as good as mine. The thing to consider is maitenance type, routine maintenance is preferable to breakdown maintenance, most potential faults can be identified and rectified before the breakdown occurs. Downside to routine maintenance is cost, you would be paying for regular visits by a technician, frequency determined by the type of contract and thus cost.
