Hello all

Am I right in thinking that a six month fiancee visa is classed as a "settlement visa" therefore if the birth of a child fell into this 6 month period, NHS treatment would be free?

As a fiance visa holder is in the UK for a settled purpose then yes, they are entitled to NHS treatment.

No.

Settlement visas allow free NHS treatment.

If she is on a visitor visa you will be charged.

Visitors on Visitors Visa are not entitled to free treatment at the expense of the NHS (that includes visits to a GP). If your fiancee is Thai it would be a lot cheaper for her to give birth at a private hospital in Thailand if you dont fancy the government hospitals.
