Can I get a tourist visa with a void stamp from Ed visa

Featured Replies

Hi I'm Malaysian. I'm in penang and I think I'll get a void stamp for my 2nd year Ed visa tomorrow. I'd like to know if I can apply for a 60 day tourist visa at the Kuala Lumpur Embassy with that void stamp from my ed visa or should I not take a chance of getting another void stamp for it.

1. Can I fly in to chiang mai on a tourist arrival then?

2. On my current passport, I have 1 single tourist visa and after that 1 ed visa. And maybe a void stamp for 2nd year Ed visa tomorrow.

3. If I get a new passport will it be checked on the computer?

Thanks.

Impossible to say for sure if you can get a tourist visa on a void stamp. Everything is possible, and there is nothing anywhere stating that you can´t. However, with the harsher visa climate your chances might be slim.

1. With your history that could be possible, but everything is risky regarding tourist visas, exempt entries and visa on arrival.

2. The more history you have in your passport will make it harder to get an approval application for visa at a Thai embassy. regarding Immigration, they will see your history in the computer database disregarding change of passport.

3. A change of passport will give you a better chance to be approved for visa application at an Embassy. Regarding Immigration and entry to Thailand they will check your history and link new and old passports.
