Non-O 1 Year Multi Entry Visa - How Many Border Runs Possible?

Featured Replies

Hi all.

My 1 year Multi Entry Non-O visa which I got last year runs out on Oct 19th.

Am I right in thinking I can squeeze one more border run in before that to get another 90 days? or do I have to head on up to Savannakhet to get a new 1 year Multi Entry Non-O visa?

As long as it is the visa that expires Oct 19 (not current permitted to stay until) any return prior to the end of that day will get a new 90 day permitted to stay stamp.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The Visa issued from Savannakhet runs out on Oct 25th. The current border run 90 day visa ends Oct 19th.

So looks like I can go on another 90 day run then. Cool... Really wasn't looking forward to going up to Laos next month.

You have until end of 25th to return in that case although it has always been best to return previous day (24th) due to English used on older visas could be taken to mean before that day.

If married to a Thai you could also get a 60 day extension to visit your wife of that last 90 day entry to get almost 5 months more from your visa.

Rough dates.

Border run returning Oct 18th get 90 days, means mid Jan expiry.

Just before that Jan date go to local Imm' and pay 1900 baht for 60 day extension ( to visit wife ) so takes you to mid March before you need a new visa.

For 60 day your wife needs to go with you. Take house book, Mar' Cert, ID and copies of all. ID copy both sides. Of course your passport and front page and last in stamp and some want TM 6 and TM30/28 etc.
