tom in bangkok
Normally I wouldn't bother with a question like this, but I'm heading to Italy in a few days and am wondering if it would be worth exchanging THB for EUR right now or just dealing with the Visa rate on my credit card. What do you guys think?
marioc
I would exchange Thai Baht into Euro here in Thailand. At the moment the Baht is at its strongest against the Euro and Superich will give you an excellent rate. You will avoid expensive credit card fees. Regards and have a nice holiday. kevin612
I use credit card due to no foreign transaction fee, otherwise I will use cash.
Awinkl
Because of Foreign transaction fees I use Cash wherever I can. I simply refuse to contribute to Bank profits - as they are already extraordinarily profitable. Only use the Cards for flight & hotel bookings. Moonlover
Definitely do not use a credit card for obtaining cash! You will come home to a big interest bill plus charges. Only use a credit card for purchases. I would buy a sensible amount of Euro here and if I needed to top up use a debit card in an ATM. (check with your bank first that's good for international use) Have a good trip.
