Duty-free giant King Power Group is looking into entering the hospitality business in the United Kingdom, now that property prices in Europe and UK are dropping due to the global slowdown, the group’s chief executive officer Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha told the press on Wednesday (September 25).

“Our deal will be finalised next year or in 2021,” he said, adding that King Power will continue focusing on the duty-free business in Thailand.

He added that though Thailand’s economy has shown slight growth, King Power has still been hurt by a slump in the number of tourists.

However, the company has continued maintaining its Creating Shared Value (CSV) budget at Bt200 million annually by focusing on music, sports and communities.

“We have continued organising CSV activities to support community products to export via our football team Leicester City. This will help them maintain sustainable income for a long time,” he said. “We want to improve the quality of life for Thai communities and people.”

The company is also supporting Thai footballers by given them a chance to train with Leicester City under the Fox Hunt campaign. Since 2017, 52 Thai footballers have been trained under the programme.

mean while falang from uk married cannot own much at all in lieland

we can see and smell tobacco smoke.  and when someone dies of lung cancer we can see that in "real life".  so some of us support "tobacco shaming".  but hey, it's still a big business even today.  but if you understand Co2 as a green house gas, and how the ocean works and how big it is and a few other things, then you either "believe" that what we can't see and can't smell... at all... unlike tobacco smoke.... and yet also accounts for all of life on Earth,  is emitted at 285 grams per 1 passenger 1 kilometer traveled as a global tourist consumer.  of a gas molecule so powerful we "crazy Climate ranters" with a "political agenda".... also called "intellectual" or  "science" people..... measure it in parts per million in our atmosphere.

it has an observed correlation as well as something we can explain as simple physics.  Co2.  but not tobacco caused cancer, not 100%, yet.  inflammation.  but not solid proof.  so smoke smoke smoke that cigarette!!!!

King Power is a great example of how absurd we are going on this.  my point?  support King Power.  it's too late even for "shaming" to work now.  enjoy the shopping experience and wonderful products.  hell, I loved my Marlboro Red's.  don't switch to Lights!

They do know they can’t be the only hotel in the UK, right? Doesn’t seem like their business model would work in the UK under the anti-monopoly laws.

Short time hotels or what? Thai style you know what I mean

I'm  planning to buy the other 51% they must have available for me?
