Possible to Apply for Internship Visa after graduating from university?

Featured Replies

My problem is that I am currently on an ED visa already for internship with a company in Thailand (just ended recently), about to leave the country soon. That ED visa I applied for was using a letter from my university stating I will be graduating and going to do internship etc. Wondering if it is still possible to apply for another ED visa for another internship in thailand with my degree. Has anyone been involved in such a situation? Also is it possible to extend the ED visa with a company?

I emailed the Thai Consulate in Hong Kong but they copy and pasted some stuff stating I need a letter from my university, no other replies to my questions nor are they answering my calls.

You will not be able to apply for another non-ed visa within the country.

Nearby embassies and consulates will require paperwork from a university to get another non-ed visa.

There is no provision for an extension of stay based upon a internship in the police orders.

Graduation from the university ends the ED visa option. Internship without enrollment in the university will not qualify your for an ED visa. However, if the company issued a letter stating they had the "intention to hire" you, then you could likely obtain a Non-O B visa that would buy you time here.

I saw some sites stating if currently studying, should provide the school letter and transcripts then again it could be outdated. However, in order to obtain the Non immigrant visa I'd need to obtain more documents rather than a simple business registration and invitation letter from the company.

When your internship ends, you have to leave the country. Need to apply for something new from outside the country.
