A Facebook user posted a video of water spouting out of the middle of the road in the downtown area of the city.

Mahassanai Lewchelermwongse described it as a new fountain in the area of Central World near The Market.

Naew Na suggested that the water was coming out of the Saen Saeb canal after continual and heavy rain and flooding on Friday.

What else would you expect him (and the car driver who also "just cruised by") to do, stop an solve the problem?

Naw dude it was the way theu cruised by like, OK, cool, a fountain in the street, right on. In the states folks would be hovered around it on their cell phones and the cops would be there in like 30 seconds with the gumballs bouncing your eyeballs out.

Thats what amazes me here about Thailand, where are all the cops? I mean not the ones hiding in the Police Boxes or in crowds by Checkpoints (they had one under the Suk U turn under the bridge over the Phra Kanon khlong on Sunday morning, made my stoner anus clench), but like how come they never are showing up in a crisis with sirens blaring. The only time I see gumballs is for VIP escort.

Maybe its for air particle pollution control.

This is what I call a "street fountain" (Kensington Church Street, London, UK)
