China grants $84 million for RCAF’s development

Featured Replies

The Chinese government on Sunday signed an agreement to provide more than $80 million in grant aid to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces to strengthen its capacity. The agreement was signed between Defence Minister General Tea Banh and his Chinese counterpart General Wei Fenghe in Beijing.

An RCAF statement said Gen Banh on Thursday had led a delegation to China to hold talks on military cooperation. It said he held discussions with Gen Wei before the signing ceremony. “China has granted 600 million Chinese Yuan [$84,813,588] to support the Cambodian National Defence Ministry,” the statement noted.

It said that during their talks, Gen Wei praised Gen Banh for his efforts to boost relations and cooperation between both countries. “China and Cambodia are ironclad friends,” the statement quoted Gen Wei as saying during the meeting.

The next empire. Given time the Chinese will rule all of Asia. They already control most of the business interests.

Anyone who doesn't see Thailand as next target for China--is ignorant.

Yes indeed, just like mainland China - social media surveillance (Computer Crimes Act), TM30 reporting, biometrics, dodgy human rights and freedom of speech and now GPS in cars and on motorcycles!  Thais possibly selling land to the Chinese for businesses in the EEC. Possible "Special Economic Zones" for Phuket and Pattaya.

cambodia has no external threat, this is just to prevent civil war and maintain hun sens dictatorship which is in chinas interest
