ED visa in Ventiane

Featured Replies

Hi all,

First time applying for an ED visa in Ventiane. Will I be required to show a bank statement or cash?

Thanks in advance.

You shouldn’t ask for a bank statement or cash when you apply for the visa.

Immigration might ask to see 20K cash at the border, but that’s unlikely.

Non ED (most first timers have no problem, only one application from Language Schools in one full year , cover letter must only indicate your specific level & show bank balance THB 20,000.-. As of now we can not confirm on how to do with second year applicants)

An important factor might be your prior visa history if you have a visa history.

According to TVS you will be fine - no need to show any proof of funds

I have applied there in the past with no issues but of course things can change

This is shown for Vientiane on their website now.

"Suitable for apply Non B (only one in one full year), Non ED (most first timers have no problem, only one application from Language Schools in one full year , cover letter must only indicate your specific level & show bank balance THB 20,000.-. As of now we can not confirm on how to do with second year applicants)."
