re-entry permit

a couple of questions if anyone can help?

is it still possible to get a re-entry permit (extensions based on retirement) from suvanabhumi?

can i get one ahead of time (i like to be organised) or only at the time i fly out?

thanks for any help

The answer to your first question is yes. I got a re-entry permit at Suwanabhumi airport the morning I flew out in June.

The answer to your second question, If you want to get a re-entry permit ahead of time, you will need to go to Chaeng Wattana and get one there.

Correction to the second question:  If you are not in the Bangkok area, then you will need to go your local immigration office to get a re-entry permit ahead of your departure date.

You can get a Re-entry Permit at Suwannaphum, but the desk is beyond the screening area, so it is only accessible to departing passengers. You can get one anytime, at your local Immigration office. It does not matter how many days you are in advance of your departure date.

Yes. The desk is after security and before passport control. SE is 1,000 THB; ME is 3,800 baht. They also charge 200 baht to complete the application and take your photo.

Yes, from the office that issued the extension. It can be applied for anytime ahead of your trip.

Is it still possible to pre-book an appointment at CW to get the reentry permit?  I did this last year but can no longer find the link on the Thai Immigration web site.

Thanks, Rs
