EU Ambassador hopes Cambodia can keep its EBA status

EU Ambassador to Cambodia Carmen Moreno has told Foreign Affairs Minister Prak Sokhonn that she hopes Cambodia can keep its access to the EU’s Everything-but-arms (EBA) agreement, said the ministry spokesman Koy Kuong.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting today, Mr Kuong said that during the meeting, Ambassador Moreno has promised to work closely with the government in enhancing partnership between Cambodia and the EU.

“It’s true that Ambassador Moreno has good purpose. At the start, she wants to enhance cooperative partnership with Cambodia, meaning that she wants to see the boost the cooperation to the next levels.

I detest Trump for a variety of reasons, and now he's given me one more. So what if Trump called? FIFA could have refused to take the call or it could have said no. You don't know what went on behind the scenes with Portugal. Ronaldo's offence was far more serious than Baloguns, and the only reason 1 game was served was because the appeal was late in being filed and there were 3 games that applied. It is hypocrisy to pick one event and not the other. The reality is that the Football federations are corrupt. This is a business, not a charity. FIFA will do whatever needs to be done to maximize profit. How quickly the allegations of bribery and payoffs that marred the selection of the last WC site have been forgotten. World Cup and Olympics are all about making money for private business interests, not sport.
