Are any TV members in UK going to this festival ?

Me and the wife should be going but I can't seem to find any info on the net about the location etc.

I'm guessing it will be on the 13-15th weekend at Battersea Park?

Any clarification will be greatly appreciated!

I have only ever been to Songkran Festivals at the Wat in Wimbledon but its a few years now.

Battersea Park (and one year at Chelsea Hospital?) were always the hai Food Festival in the July.

I wonder if they are extending to having a larger festival for Songkran in Battersea?

I will be spending songkran in the Phillipines as will our Thai staff who are not best pleased about it.

Cheers, especially for the links. My source was a bit inaccurate it would seem.

Chon,

Did you know there is a Ceremony by the Oxford Buddha Vihara at Mortimer Hall on 22nd April?

Good Luck

Not Exactly Chon,

I dropped the wife off last year and made other arrangements

09.30 arrival

10.30 lighting candles; homage to the Triple Gem; observing the Five Precepts

11.00 Monks going alms-round and partaking their meal

11.20 lunch for the Laity

12.40 chanting by the Sangha to bless the New Year

13.00 Sermons

13.30 offering robes etc in memory of departed relatives and sharing merit

13.40 Bathing Rite for the Buddha statue and monks

That's the itinerary

Good Luck

Moss
