I allows me to ask other Tv members if they considers it safe due to the ongoing insurgency in the deep South (except for traffic safety) to drive alone as far as to Trang/Hatyai?

Yes, I think it is safe.

Did a trip with car 4 weeks ago. Phang N., Surat T., Krabi, Nakon S. T. and Trang. All was fine and we had a great time.

don’t go far southern from Trang and You be fine. i done last season..... 

while in trang and you have time, go relax on pak meang beach.
