December 19, 20196 yr I have a question about the extension of my retirement visa. It expires on May 2nd 2020. If I fly back into Thailand, say end of April, 10 days before expiry, what kind of "admitted until" stamp do I have to watch out for at Suvarnabumi? Should they give me 10 days (until 2nd of May) or should they give me the longer 30-day tourism stay permit? I am not against getting a 30-day permission to stay as it gives me more time, but I have read this could nullify the visa extension procedure.
December 19, 20196 yr Popular Post If you put your re-entry permit number on the arrival card you will be given the permit to stay it allows. In your case it would be 10 days. The officer might ask which if you want to use it or get a 30 day visa exempt entry. If you got a 30 day visa exempt entry you would have to start all over by getting a new non-o visa entry that is required to apply for the extension.
December 20, 20196 yr I did exactly that recently. The until date was (as always?) the same as the expiry on my extension. I of course planned to renew the extension before then anyway, so that was fine. Edited December 20, 20196 yr by Paradise Pete
