BEIJING (Reuters) - China said Friday its relationship with the United States had experienced serious difficulties, but they should work in accordance with the consensus reached by the two countries’ leaders to push forward a stable bilateral relationship.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Le Yucheng made the comment at a meeting with the U.S. special envoy for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, according to a statement from the ministry on Friday, days after the world’s two largest economies announced a Phase 1 trade deal.

The two officials exchanged views on North Korea and China reiterated its stance that it will safeguard its sovereignty, security, development interests, the statement said.

China has designs on world supremacy....

They don't like even playing fields where they can't bully their way through, physically or economically....

Difficulties are bound to arise when you keep stealing from somebody year after year in broad daylight.

Yes, quite. Paying people to throw petrol bombs around other countries cities doesn't help either. Or fomenting colour revolutions. Or telling lies to start wars. Or black flag operations. Or getting the neighbours to arrest other country's industrial leaders on trumped up charges. Or pretending that they steal your IP.

Seriously name me one product that was stolen wholesale from America? Just one?

You're kidding. Even the PSB are still on Windows 7. Most Chinese are on XP still.

Try again.

Doesn't excuse the fact they stole it. I am not going to argue with you further if you don't understand that China steals IP as a matter of regular business that ignorance is on your shoulders not mine. Have a nice day.

Thank you. You proved nothing because there is nothing to prove.

China's registration of worldwide patents (that's where the invention is unique) dwarfs that of America.

'Theft of IP' is as vague as 'reducing Hong Kong's freedoms." No-one can actually tell you what was stolen or what freedoms are being eroded. Just noisy buzz words. Then when asked to amplify, run away.

News flash! Windows XP and Win 7 are both windows operating systems. It is embarrassing to have to this point out. Are you posting from a Commodore 64?

Agreed, to dominate Thailand, they favor hot money inflows into Bank of Thailand—with appropriate kickbacks.  Thai economy becomes more and more dependent on the ChiComs.

Quote me facts.

"American propaganda" = free press, not controlled by the government. Such as in China, where they turn off and block even the mention of subjects (Uighurs, Hong Kong, etc.) they want to control and keep out of people's minds.

You mention China but it sounds a lot like America as well, which is probably why they're at loggerheads.

You're talking about China or the US?

It’s probably because of the law requiring all Chinese to be agents of the state-including corporate and business entities?

VPN. I don't know any Chinese person that hasn't got one. The Government is well aware of this.

No. I just came to the conclusion that America is the biggest evil on the planet. A lot of people agree with me.

There is no such law. There is even less actuality in what you say. I find it incredible that you would not only believe that, but that you would actually offer it up as information.

By the way, the letter 'n' was never actually banned. Did you believe that one too?

I read the text of the document-granted, it was translated ????

Some people feel better when that are told what to do, and how to do it.  They can’t handle the freedom of choice, and they get frightened by it.  Personally, I’m fine doing what I want, when I want.  Are you living in China now?

It appears we have a ChiCom on this board. And we all know who...

it did took you long to realize that....he's as red as a very red tomato 555

and I thought that was done, same like the deal with S Korea air base, same with Japan, same with USMCA (US, Mexico ,Canada) this one the Dems helped rounded the edges..... in order words the master of the (no) deal has not completed one and the ones he's trying to finalize are all equal or similar to the originals ones, thus trade war with China was worthless, but americans didn't realize they were paying for the tariff's increase.... the guy is only good at ranting/insulting anybody who doesn't agree with him

Don’t pretend you know what all Americans think because you are speaking of less than half the population.  It is unfortunate that at least one third is drowning in ignorance.

Many TV posters blame President Trump for America’s problems.  I get that.  But he’s the first one to stand up to the ChiComs.  And yes, it’s a bitter medicine we must take...

There's more than just one. About three or four hardcores and a handful of anti-Westerners who will endorse anybody or any country as long as it's anti-American or anti-European.

I worked for a tech company in the early 90s. We were primarily selling to universities in PRC outside US. High end laser imaging equipment.

It was common knowledge they were disassembling the products and reverse engineering them.

I learned about this about a year into being with the company on a trip to HK.

WE CAN'T LET THIS HAPPEN!!! Blah blah blah I went on.

Everyone chuckled.

The company was privately held. Plan was to sell them a mountain of equipment and by the time they ripped it off the owners would be wealthy.

That company only now exists in name to sell parts for remaining equipment. I think it has five employees now.

One of the positions I agree with Trump on, although if he would have enrolled the EU, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Canada, NZ...other democratic countries in the Americas...

He should have made a public case to them, and then led them along to decide in favor.  Instead, he uses harsh negative actions for that force countries to resist.  Combined actions by democratic governments would have brought China to its knees in 6 months.  Maybe one of his advisers can change his mind?  Great leaders work together whenever possible.  Trump has cut staff all over the world, and now China has 5 times as many influencers working 24/7 around the world promoting China and degrading the US and Europe. The USA is losing the PR war big time.  The USA will fail without sensible and coordinated organization.  Russia is doing a much better job than the USA as well.  Time to work together with a more cohesive plan.  I never works only threatening people.
