Looking to Rent an Office in Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Has anyone here rented an office in Chiang Mai? I am having a difficult time finding a proper office to rent here.

I'm looking for a space which is anywhere from 50-120sqm to run my business out of. The two places I've found which are viable options are Airport Business Park and The Office+. I really would not like to spend more than 30,000thb, and would like a space that has a more professional environment. - I understand I could rent a nice home and set it up as an office, but I don't see that being ideal from a business perspective.

Anyone know any agents or have any advice as to where else I could look?

Guess the best deal would be to rent a townhouse instead, they offer you the space needed and will be available from 10-20K a month.

I found office prices in CM very unattractive, most people I know rent an apartment for it.

A townhouse worked really well for me. Plenty of space, clean, airy, conveniently close to an excellent food market, and it only cost me 10K per month.

The market was more important than you might imagine because, when you are working full-tilt, being able to walk a minute down the street, buy an excellent meal, and return to eat it up on the roof, saves a lot of time. Thai staff, if you have any, also place a lot of importance on being close to cheap but high quality food.

We had so much space that we actually turned part of it into a small coworking space and accommodation. We no longer do that, but the website is still up, it might give you an idea of what you can get for a relatively low rent:

House of Siam

That was last year, I miss those days a lot, but would never again enter into a 12 month lease in Chiang Mai, the air pollution is just too severe for about half the year.

Based on my own productivity measures, that definitely affects your ability to work and think efficiently, even with expensive air purifiers and special aircon filters.

Have you considered looking round some of the older condos? Srithana 2, Nakornping and Hillside 4 all have office/commercial units on the ground floor at least. All of them have some empty units. I dare say there are more such - these are just the ones I know of off the top of my head.
