It's because so many people pay for this  , without complaining, that they charge for it.

 

I wish more were like the original poster, then they would stop.

 

 

The first time was 7 yrs ago when I bought my truck. Complaining didn't enter my mind but my lady was fuming. In Rayong I pay 300bht.

    Yes had same problem 2 weeks ago,  I just paid it because they can remember you next time you visit and need help.  But I agree it's wrong but so is everything in Thailand.

I've never paid for one. 1000 baht is ridiculous. There are many things you could do to at least get a reduction, if not free.
