A few questions about applying for a visa extension

Featured Replies

My 2 month stamped entry visa to Thailand expiration date ends on 01/31/20. Do you recommend  applying for a 30 day extension on the last day (Friday 10/31) or should I come in earlier in the week?  I'm just double checking but are there any Holidays or Observances next week will the immigration office be open all week? Last question, last year I went to the immigration office in CM and Hua Hin and applied for the 30 day visa extension with no problem. In July 2019 I went back to the states and returned to Thailand in December with a multi-entry visa. Do you think there will be any problems applying again for an extension?

Immigration offices open as usual.

No public holidays (Chinese New Year might cause traffic problems, 24 to 27).

Go early. There is no hard rule but from Friday, 24th is OK.

With your history I wouldn't expect trouble.

Is it a multiple tourist visa or Non O?

Which office?

As written go early from tomorrow on.

Chiang Mai seems to be crowded again and might or might not require a TM30 address registration.

Just to double check to extend my multi-entry visa for 30 days I need to bring my passport, fill out form at immigration office, 1 color photo, pay the 1900 bahts fee and get there early around 8:30 right?

Same address 71 Moo 3 Amphoe Mueang Chiang Mai 50200

You will be extending the 60 day entry your METV allowed for 30 days.

You can get there about 7 and get a queue number.

Copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp and TM6 departure card.

The address is correct.

thanks!

It's actually 3 forms now, one is the application for extension and the other two are acknowledging that the extension can be revoked stuff  like that, I forgot the exact details.

Ask the girls who help ppl there.

And bring plenty of time with you

I don't think those are required for a 30 day extension of a tourist visa entry.

That's what they asked me for , and all others on that day.

I came in 30 days visa exempt and extended for another 30 days,

so I assuming it's the same req.for visa holders.

I like to add if anybody is interested. I just did my 30 day extension at Chang Wattana without showing a TM30 (nobody asked). For the record, I am on a METV. However, I Did my TM30 (stay at gf) with the help of Peter Denis. It just seems no need at least in BKK.

Quick question so the immigration office stamped my passport with an extension date for March 1st (Sunday) 2020 so I need to be out of the country by Feb 29th (Saturday) or March 1st by midnight?
