GreasyFingers
We are building two en-suites and intended to have three-sided glass shower screens. Our tiler says that he has had to replace many glass partitions with tiles as the glass seems to be etched by the local water and cannot be cleaned properly. Not sure if he is just talking his own book or not, but have seen the problem with mirrors that cannot be cleaned. Has anyone had a problem with their glass shower screens. bankruatsteve
I think ours is plexiglass but no issues after 15 years. Use regular household cleaner. Just to add... our shower unit was custom cut and installed (2 sides glass). The builder fussed at first and wanted to change to tiled walls because he had never worked with plexiglass before. But, I insisted as it was part of the design and quote. He had to re-do things a couple times to get the holding brackets right but finally ended up looking good. cheshiremusicman
I've had glass shower screens for some 13 years and have not had any trouble with keeping them clean. I live in Hua-Hin.
