Transfer Of Title

Recommended Posts

Require information ref/ Chanote title.

Purchased two rai land for house in Buriram transferred the money to Gf she placed a deposit of 50000 bhrt and remainder paid before end of March.

When it came to transferring title they was a problem with getting land title from bank as the parcel of land was a small area of the total the seller had on the title. I have now been told that it will take another 2 months approx to sort out this problem and transfer the title for the two rai .

My question is does my gf have to be in the country to get the title transferred to her name she says she may have to get it transferred to her mothers name temporally as she will not be in the country.

Have your gf give her mother power of attorney. It doesn't have to be a trusted friend or a solicitor. It can be another family member. My wife gave power of attorney to either her sister or brother for upgrading a family property to a Chanote land title.

I had a similar situation, my wife and I purchased 7 rai in Koh Meung outside of Buriram, there was a screw up with the title and getting a red seal vs green seal. We had the land put in her Mother's name and transferred it back to my wife later. This allowed her Mom to finish transfer of the title, avoiding my wife having to make multiple trips to Thailand.
