BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Healthhas has reported that the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Thailand remained at 33, as of Thursday (Feb 13). Twelve patients have recovered and can now return home, while 21 others are still being treated.

The ministry has assigned public health volunteers to help monitor the situation and is supporting them in making their own protective masks and hand sanitizers.

The Deputy Minister of Public Health, Sathit Pitutecha, together with a group of public health volunteers signed a joint declaration of intent to monitor and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and to provide knowledge on protective measures to their families and community members.

Public health volunteers play an important role in taking care of community members’ health and improving their daily hygiene. The Ministry of Public Health provided guidelines on ways to protect themselves from the virus and taught them how to make their own protective masks and hand sanitizers. This knowledge will be passed on to members of their communities.

The Deputy Minister of Public Health also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Health Service Support Department and Advanced Info Service (AIS) to provide health news for public health volunteers via a mobile application called AorSorMor Online.

so once the 21 have finished treatment and gone home Thailand will have "zero" cases

Do they realise how ridiculous that sounds

or maybe it's a miracle
