Trump Eyes Wave of New Trade Deals Amid 90-Day Tariff Pause
Do you honestly believe these deals could have been negotiated and approved through a country's legal process in the month or so since Trump started making tariff waves (this round of them)? Over 70 countries have come to the negotiating table. It may be months before any agreements are finalized. I watched a UK interview with Sebastion Gorka and though it was contentious, he did a great job explaining that Trump has just reset the baseline negotiating situation after decades of unequal trade deals for the US. Nothing is cast in stone. It's just a starting point for negotiations. And the guys on the other side of the table have 90 days to think about it. He also claimed that Trump 45 raised tariffs and studies showed that retail prices went up by less than 1% as a result. The sky isn't falling. But America won't be doing unequal trading any more. -

The altercation occurred in the early hours of 14th April near the bustling entrance to Bangla Road, a hub for nightlife on the island. The victim, a 26-year-old woman identified as B, had just concluded her shift when the chaos unfolded. According to B's account to local police, her boyfriend came to collect her but was approached by a woman from a nearby table, accompanied by a group of Thai men. The woman invited him to join them, which he declined, leading the situation to escalate quickly. B recounted, "A woman invited my boyfriend, and when he refused, they became aggressive. I attempted to calm the situation, but was struck in the eye, causing me to fall." The situation deteriorated into a brutal assault, with B and her boyfriend repeatedly kicked and punched. The violence only ceased when the bar's manager and the owner's son intervened. Disturbing CCTV footage captured the incident at 3.49am, showing B’s boyfriend being restrained while others hit him, and B suffering blows, collapsing to the ground. Police arrived promptly, yet B described witnessing the group seated in a nearby bronze-silver pickup truck, close to the police station, without arrests being made at the time. "One woman even mocked me for crying," B recalled, expressing her frustration at the perceived indifference. Following the incident, B filed an official complaint at Patong Police Station and received medical treatment for her facial injuries at a local hospital. The assault gained significant attention after the Facebook page สุดแจ๊คปลัดบอก spotlighted the incident, sharing images of B's injuries and demanding urgent legal recourse. The page alleged the assailants had connections to a prominent local business. As of now, police have yet to confirm suspect identities or whether any charges have been pressed. The ongoing investigation seeks to unravel the attack's circumstances and hold those responsible accountable.
