A Parliament officer cleans the room and media workspace area to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).

On Thursday (February 27), the Parliamentary Medical Services Office cleaned the area inside the council meeting room and the media workspace area on the first floor of Parliament Building, using antiseptic to wipe surfaces, tables, chairs, microphones, seats in the conference room as well as media desks and press chairs, press points, stairs and elevators, overseen by Satit Prasertsak, deputy secretary-general of the House of Representatives.

The move is seen as a precautionary step as Patcharin Khamsiripong, a Bangkok MP from Phalang Pracharath Party, who returned from Japan, was rumoured to be infected with Covid-19 even though she claimed she was healthy and had just caught a cold.

Sribuncha Co. LTD. pleased.

And who said there were no woman in Parliament?

If they are so worried about infection, how come none of them are wearing eye protection?

I thought it has been said it can be contracted by various means, not only by breath.

There was a nurse in Wuhan who was thought to have conjunctivitis, only to discover it was Covid-19 virus passed on either by airborne means or if she had rubbed her eye after her hand came into contact with an infected surface.

Sigh! When I saw the headline I thought the Govt had found a way to get rid of a few other opposition parties.

The thing they need to clean up are the usurpers. Throw them in the trash where they belong.

was there any person signaled having corona ? just wasted money, again

These MPs are more at risk than others and they're gathering in a very crowded air conditioned environment every day.

I wouldn't be surprised if large chunks of various governments around the world become infected due to this.

Not Thai specific but avoiding large crowds of people who meet many other people every day is something they should be doing in all governments.
