I have one year multiply entry Non-O Visa because I have thai wife. Every 90 days have to make border run, last time went to Poipet as I did many times. But this time many people warning me on Thailand side I can't coming back same day, I have to spend one night in Cambodia. I was worried but I crossed the border and came back without problem.

 

I have to go soon again border so I would like to ask anyone has fresh experience with Poipet? I don't wanna stucked outside even one night.

 

Or have better option for border run from Bangkok?

Using Poipet for a border bounce with a multiple entry visa is a <deleted> shoot. You may be fine, but some have encountered severe problems. Using Poipet cannot be recommended, but I hope your luck holds if you decide to continue using that crossing.

The nearest and best from Bangkok is the Ban Phu Nam Ron crossing to Myanmar in Kanchanaburi.

No full page visa required. You pay about 960 baht for transport across no mans land that includes the 500 baht fee for a border pass to Myanmar.

Not sure if allowed to post this here or not but if you Google "Thai visa service" one of the top results is a company that does daily trips to the Myanmar border. It's a good price and good service. 

Why not go to your local IO and get a 60 day extension to be with your wife. This would cut down the amount of border runs you would have to do. You would do 1 border run every 150 days instead of 90 days.

If this is your condo lease agreement, it must have your signature and the owners signature on it. A piece of paper stating your address, the deposit you paid and the amount you pay each month is not enough. It must be a proper agreement.

• Wife’s Tabien Baan (copy is fine) – this is the house document for the home she is officially registered as living in Thailand.

• Wife's ID card (original to be shown, also have a copy with you). 

• Marriage Certificate (original and copy) – Make sure you take the original because I nearly came unstuck only having a copy last time.

 

My question: we renting in a condo but the lease agreement on my wife name. She renting the condo. In this lease agreemen will be acceptable? Need something more from landowner?

If you don't own your own condo, you may be required to show the Condo-Owner's house-book and chanote for the condo.  Pray these are the lastest-style of these documents, or they may be refused. 

I was denied an extension based on marriage, on the 3rd trip with "undocumented requirements," because the house-book for the condo was "too old."   As my case was a 1-yr extension application , they were coming for a home-visit anyway, so apparently were just *** I didn't use their "agent" partners.  Maybe they would have let it slide for a 60-day extension.

In my experience, Aranyaprathet (Poipet is the name of the town on the Cambodian side...please get it right next time as it confuses people otherwise) is fine with a non-O or non-B multi entry.

 

However, I must point out I never do a one day in-out. I always spend at least a night in Cambodia - not because I have to but because I want to - I like making a trip out of it. Also, I travel by car - the idea being I drive into Cambodia (usually at O'Smach) and then back into Thailand via Aranyaprathet. If I'm alone and since I'm the owner of the car, I can use the car channel outside, no need to go upstairs. I think the officials at this channel are more easygoing than their counterparts upstairs.

 

On my last trip I decided to no longer use Aranyaprathet not because I fear that crossing or because people say they're "strict", but rather because it's crowded and chaotic. The previous time I was forced back to the Cambodian side to make some photocopies of my car documents for entry, which I have never been asked to do at any border before. I parked at a casino and walked around to find a photocopy shop. At least half an hour wasted on some ridiculous bureaucracy.

 

I would thus recommend another border such as Ban Pakkard. Even better (if you're crossing the border on foot) is Ban Laem because the Thai and Cambodian posts are right next to each other. Minimal walking is required. Or you could try Chong Chom/O'Smach (located 100m apart), Chong Sa-ngam (ditto) or Hat Lek-Koh Kong (separated by less than 200m of "no man's land"). The latter has a poor reputation for overcharging on the visa on the Cambodian side, but they do accept a Cambodian e-visa, which saves time and avoids this problem.

 

Therefore, OP, if you insist on a same day "in-out" with your visa, choose any other crossing other than Aranyaprathet for the simple reason that it's more hassle than it's worth.

 

Other worthy options are Mae Sai-Tachilek and Mae Sot-Myawaddy. You pay US$10 for the day pass (don't give them the satisfaction of paying 500 Baht - they will always accept dollars provided they're in good condition).
