But friends and family in the swing states I hail from seem to prefer Biden, then Trump, but aren't interested in Bernie. If the electoral college comes into play again, Biden may be the better choice to beat Trump. Biden would likely carry the downticket with these voters too. Not sure about Bernie's ability to flip the Senate. More importantly is the swing States polls that also show Biden will defeat trump. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/general_election/

I've heard analysis that if 45 can get only 12 percent of the black vote, he'll be impossible to beat. If anyone doesn't understand the importance of the black vote, that number should be a wake up call. However, by dumping Pence, wouldn't that be seen as a betrayal to 45's white evangelical base?

Biden doesn't really need a Midwesterner as he's already got very strong rust belt / white working class cred with his "Scranton" schtick. Even though I think he will pick a woman as VP if nominated I think it will probably be a woman of color (Stacey Abrams and Kamala Harris come to mind). If wants to pick the canidate who is the mose intelligent and not worry about an electorial choice. I support Yang for VP 1

I think Trump has got the evangelical base in his pocket. It's not that they love or respect Trump, but they're getting everything they want in terms of conservative judges and religious rights in general. They'll put up with anything...and in the case of Trump, that's an awful lot. 3

What an amazing list of sins, some of them criminal. Since, as Pelosi and her minions never tire of telling us, no one is "above the law", why has not this malefactor not been charged with any offence in the courts? It may be worth pointing out that 2 years of Mueller's investigations brought not the slightest whiff of wrongdoing, the kind that can be prosecuted in a court of law. (And we can be 100% sure that if anything HAD been there, the legal knives would have long ago been flashing in the dark slime pits of Washington.) As for adultery, let he who is without sin cast the first stone, and not come on ThaiVisa and play "holier than thou". Besides, there is always Melania to deal with that particular problem (if you are concerned). 2 1 1

If I look around at my friends and neighbours and at my own marriage, I would allow that most of us subscribe to the view that marriage is a matter of shared concerns. However, it would be a shallow and mean-spirited person who thought he or she had no moral responsibility to his or her spouse in the event of sudden hard times. 1 1
