Extension after re-entry

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have to fly out of Thailand for a week, I am on a SETV and plan to get a re-entry permit at the airport. Question is can I still extend the SETV after returning back from abroad? Or do I have to do the extension before doing the re-entry permit?

Either is fine. The reentry permit will protect your current permission of stay.

You could obtain extension now or when you return assuming you return before your current until date stamp.

Are you sure you get a reentry on a single entry TV?

Of course he can.

A re-entry permit can be issued for any permit to stay.

Also on a 30 Day Stamp from a land border? (Might be important for some!)

It is possible but they might question why you would want it instead of getting a new entry.

They might be more willing to do it if you applied for a 30 day extension first.

Could be the 2nd Land border Stamp and a trip abroad during the validity. In this case you would not get another one.
