Walking Street guard beaten before, after motorbike crash

1374-N2-Mar-03-02-Walking-Street-pub-gua

PATTAYA:--A Walking Street security guard fleeing a youth gang attack slammed his motorbike into a pickup truck in central Pattaya.

Nakhon Sawan-native Chatree Eimsaard told police he had been attacked by several men on Sukhumvit Road and Soi Nernplabwan March 3 and tried to escape on his motorbike.

His attackers pursued and, in the chase, Chatree rear-ended a Toyota pickup at a red light by Big C Extra on Central Road.

The men then continued their assault as he lay in the middle of the street before fleeing the scene.

Police are checking local CCTV cameras to track down the perpetrators.

That sounds very familiar. These bastards can only fight in a big group.

Pattaya security guard ,he wouldn’t of hurt anyone would he ,he wouldn’t attack customers with his mates help ,he wouldn’t pick on Thais with his mates help ,such nice people .   Or was it payback

A little off topic, but what are the unofficial rules of engagement if you find yourself in this predicament? Should you try to lead them somewhere secluded (like an alleyway), attempt to drop them, and then flee? I figure if you’re in public every thai person in the vicinity will jump in.

Isn't that the point of being a gang though? As distasteful and unsavory as it may be. That's how gangs operate anywhere.

Offering to fight them 1 on 1 or even 1 on 2, and to Marquis of Queensbery rules isn't likely to be well received, understood and certainly not accepted!

Best to avoid all conflict with Thais in Thailand. Ain't gonna end well, one way or another.

Exactly what I was thinking!  Live by the sword, die by the sword.  Don't feel sorry for him, even though it was a cowardly act...

So what was the policeman doing that sits in the police box outside Big C. Typical Thai police when you want them they too busy counting contents of brown envelope

i'm not sure it's a 'thai' thing, if you look at coverage of, for example, football hooligans or general street violence in other countries, you will often see a group of people attacking an individual.

though i'm a firm believer, and it's my experience, that if you want to avoid a fight you can, but if you want fight you can quite easily have one.

Please take your American nonsense elsewhere.

Nobody cares about Antifa or Alt Right or Fox News or CNN.

This is a forum for complaining about Thailand.

Controlling the traffic lights? He was the one who suddenly made the lights change that caught the truck out.
