Featured Replies

A direct charter flight from Australia to Cambodia has been proposed to further explore the potential market for Australian tourists in the Kingdom, said the Australian ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Pablo Kang

.

He made the statement at a meeting with the minister in charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, Mao Havannall. The charted flight will carry 200 Australian tourists and visit the Siem Reap province, home of the famed Angkor Wat Temples, Kang said.

Top Sopheak, spokesman for the Ministry of Tourism, said the proposed direct flights will be the first point of call for exploring the potential for more Australian tourists to visit Cambodia. He added the ministry has been promoting tourism packages for Cambodia to the Australian market for years.

Ankor Wat is on the list of not to visit places. Over crowded...tourists in line waiting their turn to access places for selfie...just terrible. 2.5 millions visitors a year. Grooves on stones can be observed.

"the company that manages ticket sales at the temple complex, said the number of tickets sold at the park saw nearly an 18 per cent decrease compared to January last year (2019)'

Overall, there was a 15% decrease in 2019 compared to 2018. Siem Reap very pleasant at the moment - no Chinese. Currently, there are special offers for Angor Wat - entrance price the same but  more days to explore, for example get 2 days for the price of one! Hotels also  making offers such as 5 nights for the price of four! Good time to visit.
