Savannakhet Non-O Marriage Visa Wife Name Change

I recently got married and was looking to get a Non-O visa in savannakhet. 

My wife wanted to get her name changed but her Tabien baan was in a different district so they said they can't update her ID card.

 

I believe it says she got her name changed on some document that said "I am taking the marriage license out of the office". But it doesn't say it on the actual marriage certificate. 

 

Her ID is currently still the same so I don't have one of those 'name change' documents that Savannakhet is apparently requesting now.

Would they know her name is changed? (I don't think it is officially yet) Could I just say she didn't want to get her name changed? 

 

Or should we try to get her Tabien baan moved and name changed before I head to Laos.

There is no requirement for your wife to take your name.

No need for the name change certificate if she has not changed her name.
