1 year Non Immigrant O - 2 extensions

Featured Replies

I have heard that you can NOT extend a VISA 2 times... So let me ask you the following plse...

My friend have a non immigrant O VISA, ut is expiring some time late may 2020, he must wait

to apply for a 1 year extension based on retirement to beginning of july 2020...

If I suggest to him to apply for a 1 month (30 days) extension then he will be datewise end of juni somewhere.

But he needs another couple of days.....

What is his option, he must do a border run and get a 30 day excempt? (swedish citizen)

OR can he extend a second time his 1 year non immigrant O VISA??

Thanks for your input.

Glegolo

you can not extend a 90 day stay based on a non immigrant visa for 30 days, only 1 year unless you have Thai family

edit if he has a multi entry visa he could do a fresh border entry for another 90 day stamp
