Hi All,

I did my last 90 day report on February 4. My extension of stay to a Non-Imm 'B' visa expired last Friday, March 6. I cancelled my work permit and then officially cancelled this extension of stay at Immigration on March 6. I then did a border run to Laos and returned on the same day, March 6, with a visa exempt 30 day entry.

I just remembered that when I did my last 90 day report on February 4, the officer put the yellow slip for my next 90 day report in my passport with a date of March 6, when my visa was due to expire anyway.

My question is do I actually need to do a 90 day report if I am now on a visa exempt 30 day entry? I know I should have asked while at Immigration last Friday, but I was a bit flustered when I requested the 7 day extension and was told "No, go to Laos, come back, 30 days." So, I had to make like the roadrunner to Laos, and forgot to deal with the 90 day question.

Also, I have done the TM.30 for landlords. Do I also need to do a new TM.27 or TM.28? I have come back to the same address that I was at before exiting Thailand last Friday. I still have the original receipts in my passport for TM.27 or 28 (not sure of the number) and TM.30 from when I registered last year.

Many thanks,

MF

No need to a 90 day report since you left the country before you had stayed here 90 consecutive days.

No need for a TM27 form since returned to the same address.

Whether you need to a TM30 report depends upon the office you will be reporting to.

That's good news, Ubonjoe. It's what I suspected, but I was wondering why the officer put the yellow slip in my passport for March 6. Just a formality, I suppose, since I reported on February 4.

I did the TM.30, with Peter Denis' assistance, but note that it wouldn't save for me using Google chrome. Had to revert to Internet Explorer and it saved and updated to the Immigration database.

Thanks for your reply. ????

Your employer needs to complete a work permit cancellation form and provide a letter of termination dated for the final day of your employment. In my case, the local labour office insisted that these documents should be physically presented to them on the date I was to cease my employment. They would not allow cancellation in advance. They also insisted on the return of my original work permit.
