TM 30- Short-time Hotel

Recommended Posts

Only if they did a online TM30 report of your stay. But that can even depend upon the immigration office you report to.

Try and use some other form of identification other than your passport when your register at the hotel. They cannot to the report if they do not have your passport number.

A TM30 report is still required. That has not changed unless the office you report to does not want them done.

Perhaps you are confusing TM28 reporting under section 37 of the immigration act that was recently changed with TM30 reporting under section 38.

isn't the latest interpretation hotels will do a tm30 for every foreign guest registered, but that won't affect long-stayers?

all immigration offices are on-board with long-stay visa holders only needing to submit a tm30 upon returning from abroad?

No and No.

Every office can still have different requirements for TM30 reporting.
