Som Tam shop has no customers after South Korean comes to eat

A Thai who went on social media to post that a South Korean man had been eating at a local Som Tam restaurant caused a complete drop in trade.

The post suggested that the man - who was with a Thai girlfriend - said he wasn't infected with Covid-19 but the poster thought he should be in quarantine.

Police and health department staff hotfooted it to the restaurant in the Sa Klang Muang area of Nai Muang sub-district and found the shop deserted.

The owner explained that the Korean had come in with four other Thai members of his family for a snack at 4 pm.

The Korean was known to the owner as a regular customer and had been living in the area for eight months.

The authorities want the man to come forward to quell the panic.

Yes, I can.

I can also say 'antiestablishmentarianism', but I find "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" more challenging.

Known as living in the area for 8 months and not in Korea for 8 months. Restaurant owner should be arrested for Xenophobic racism and banned from operating a business.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

The restaurant owner was standing up for the customer. The post was by another customer who should have minded their own business.

And I think you should be banned from TVF for not being able to comprehend what you have read. There is nothing to say the restaurant owner made the social media post ????????

If you were able to write that from memory, without copying and pasting, I want to buy you a drink, boyo ????

My wife is Korean. Therefore I believe that the local Thais are very educated in terms of staying away from Koreans.

Maybe a good time to visit the Philippines again as I dare say they will have a severe lack of Koreans????????‍♂️????????????????????????????????

You're not even trying 'sofa.  This should be your party piece.  "floccinaucinihilipilification" as used by JRM in the Commons.

This situation isn't different from USA and Canada where the locals avoided Chinese restaurants.

Australia has over 100 infected to Thailand's 50.  Let's hope Australia does a better job than the USA at the moment.

I don't know what you mean by "activation."

Meanwhile 1000s of Thais from Korea and elsewhere are roaming the country.
