Can you get an Elite within Thailand / within 60 days of applying?

Featured Replies

Strange times...

I'm a UK passport holder and can easily see that it might not be possible to get into Thailand in August as I'd planned, and maybe for a year or more.

If I could get in now on a visa exemption, would it be practical to get an Elite card before the 30/60 days ran out, and would I then be able to stay for 12 months (or do you have to leave and reenter on the Elite to get the Elite package)?

Just one option in a chaotic situation, but if anyone has the detail on this it'd be a big help.

Cheers,

D

You can do it when you're inside Thailand, I did it that way for my first membership.

Approval should take less than a month for a UK passport but you never know.

My first one was processed very quickly (less then 2 weeks I think) however that was 6 years ago and the renewal which I did in October took only a couple of days but that was just a renewal so they already had all my information from before.
