If this sounds stupid...Sorry! Have urgent visa question...

Featured Replies

I have a Non-immigrant O visa based on marriage and I am scheduled to do a 90 day trip as normal on the 28th.

I had originally booked to go to Penang - Then they locked the country down.

Re-booked Vientiane but, now the Vientiane Times is reporting that they have stopped all visas on arrival/e-visas as of today.

Then this nonsense of having to have virus insurance coming back...

But, that isn't my question only explaining my need to ask...

My Non-imm O Multi entry visa expires in July 2020 so this is just a 90 day thing...

My stupid question is:

Can I go down to my local immigration office (not in Bangkok) and get a 60 day extension or not?

What is the process...

Told you...it was a stupid question!

You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife.

She will need to be with you when you apply. You will need your marriage certificate and a copy of it, copies of her house book registry and ID card.

The fee is 1900 baht.

For a border crossing Cambodia is still a possibility at this time. Check here: https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/international-travel-document-news/1580226297.htm

Alos Myanmar is possible at most crossings other than Mae Sai in Chiang Mai.
