Arriving in Yangon by land and acquiring Thailand visa possible at the moment?

Arriving in Yangon by land and acquiring Thailand visa possible at the moment?

Hello,

I have a Swedish passport. I was thinking about going to Yangon by bus from Mae Sot and applying for a Thai visa at the embassy there.

I have many old Thai visas in the passport. But no red stamps yet. The last few visas are in the following order Thai Visa - Laos visa - Thai visa - Cambodian Visa. After that 1 visa free entry and 1 exemption.

Is it likely that I will be able to acquire a Thai visa at the embassy in Yangon?

(Also, is the Mae Sot - Myawaddy land crossing still open and operating as usual?)

Good luck even getting out of the country to Mae Sot, and then good luck getting back in.....borders have been closed

No chance, everyborder is closed until further notice.

Removed a troll post and the reply to it.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

OP, you can look at many threads regarding obtaining extension to you current stay.

It provides 30 day extension based on problems regarding current covid-19 issues with travel. Many require "letter from embassy".
