Border Closure

Featured Replies

All,

This is my first post in ages. I am a farang and I hear that the borders are closed to Foreigners. does this mean we can not get out?

What is the exerience of others with immigration? i am very worried that Immigration will simply use this to make money when all my friends are losing their jobs. can they throw us in jail?

Scared of bangkok

If you overstay and get caught u will be thrown in jail and then sent to the idc.

Can u extend your visa?

Contact your consulate and get a letter to say you cant travel because of the virus.

When u get the letter to to immigration and they will extend it.

What nationality are u?

The borders are not closed for those wishing to fly out of the country, but the availability of flights is sparse.

What is your Immigtation status, there are a number of options available to you depending on your visa/leave to remain?

I do agree that some Immigration staff may well make things difficult, and suggest options.

I've removed a nonsense response and will move your question to the Thai Visa Forum.
