Hello guys. Does anyone have any experience with digital work permits? Can I open a new bank account with one? Can I borrow money for a motorcycle purchase with one? Any advice appreciated!

1000+ posts and your asking about open bank a/c. What visa do you have?

I went to the bank today, wouldnt even let me until i said what i needed. Then i was let in after the last person left.

You can try, but a digital work permit would probably not cut it.

Here they like to see the real thing, put into their hands so they can "look" at it.

The "Thailand Digital Work Permit" is a useless (broken) app nobody accepts or has even ever heard of which you can only use if you already have a work permit. Hope that helps.

Mate, unless I'm missing something here and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, a DWP is only intended to be a replacement for the physical work permit (blue book). You still have to go through the usual procedures and get a work permit.

No problems with the digital WP. You can take screen capture and printout if needed.

Nonsense, they do open one with a digital work permit.

You only get the digital work permit if you qualify for a work permit.

And, it appears, that it is only provided to companies under the "Promotional Privileges" program from the BOI.

Banks know what one is. Especially if you're out in the sticks. You can try, but its up to them. Even when you have everything legit they can refuse to do it.

You can get a pdf version from the single window system, I just printed that one and showed them. No problem at all.
