Popular Post KhunFred
The decision was made in lieu of an Ambassador. Is this likely to continue or could the new Ambassador conceivably reverse the decision? Edited March 28, 2020 by KhunFred 1
Popular Post GalaxyMan
Not a chance. That would mean that the Trump government actually cared about its citizens. We all know that that's a fantasy. ???? 3
tonray
More likely he'll give up something further to ingratiate himself to his new hosts.
Martyp
I’m sure the Ambassador has some influence on that issue with the State Department. Since the world is in the midst of a growing pandemic I would think he is busy with other things now.

AussieBob18
No. And IMO the only way anyone is going to get that local 'policy' reversed, is to legally challenge their decision. In Australia it is not 'legal' for any JP/Official to not sign a Stat Dec because they do not agree with the contents. They can only refuse to sign a Stat Dec if the contents are illegal or otherwise in breach of applicable Laws. If the same aplies in USA, then the only way to challenge their decision is to start legal proceedings. 2 reasons I have not doen it in Aust - I dont need the stat dec and in Aust it is almost impossible to legally challenge an official Govt decision. Please please take legal action in USA - if you win then maybe that will flow down to the Aust and UK Embassies.
