SovietChild
So, if my tourist visa expires on Apr 16, I don't have to go to the immigration office, right?

berybert
Automatic 30 day extension. Means it's automatic.

The problem is that the document which Prayut signed doesn't explicitly say that it's automatic, but this is just an interpretation by some people. Imho it even indirectly says that the extension is not automatic but has to be applied for. We will see what immigration will make out of it. ubonjoe
Your visas expiration date means not after you are in the country. It is the 60 day permit to stay from it or the 30 day extension of it that is important. It think I means if you were already in the country on March you are eligible for an extension that does not need to be applied for.
