So, what do you want to run from the genset?

Will it be running continuously or just when there's mains fail? Or do you intend moving it around as a truly portable?

Do you have a preferred fuel?

Do you have a budget?

Understanding ur worthy request to elaborate on my explanation 8-) ;

A_

2 or 3 No.  50W Fans

AND

1 No. Notebook Computer

B_

B_1_

Expect to work continuously for some 5 hours

B_2_

Mains fail

B_3_

Rest or Sleep Period of some 5 hours during rest-period from motoring in rest-area

B_4_

Emergencies of some 1-2 hours continuous duration for :

50W Fan

Drill or Angle Grinder or other popular mains powered hand tool

C_

Truly portable

Note ;

I consider the Generators that have a tubular frame of some 2 foot x 1.5 foot plan area are truly portable relative to household, or farm, environment ;

Although,- probably less so for emergency situation on field of farm where only transport feasible on the occasion to transport it is motorcycle.

However, obviously,- I would prefer the generator to be the least heavy

D_

D_1_

THB 10,000 -- THB 15,000 for an optimum Honda liquid fuel powered generator

D_2_

THB 10,000 for Solar Powered System ;

Perhaps,- there is a version which uses Capacitors instead of Lithium Cells to store the Charge ?

I guessing that Capacitors are reasonable contenders now.

D_3_

My preference for liquid fuel powered generator I expect to be very much influenced by the replies here

Hmmm...

A fuel generator : Output 220 volt socket, and can be carried by 1 man. But overkill for just two fans and a notebook.

A solar solution : Output DC, can be converted to 220v with batteries (LifePo4 is a good solution now, low maintenance and strong on discharge and charging) but the panel itself, unless you are ok to charge for a while, is pretty sized to be carried by 1 man.

I would say, the solar panel solution for yourself for daily use of the fans and laptop and have a fuel generator for the farm and household in emergency.

Cleaner and versatile that way.

Additional solution for the solar is having a big panel(s) at your stationary location and a smaller when you travel/move place for charging the batteries for the notebook and one or two fans.

Additional 2. Consider getting 12 volt fans and notebook adapter, instead of for only these using the converter from 12v to 230v and lowering it again.

 * Can you explain what you mean with 'Motoring' and the use of the energy sources with it?
