However, thanks in part to some rule modifications and efforts to rebrand the product, MMA is now a mainstream sport with a global fanbase. In recent years, there is one group in particular who seems to have garnered an appreciation for one of the fastest-growing sports in the land — Hollywood celebs. Anyone who has watched a UFC event recently knows there is usually a healthy supply of big-named stars sitting cage-side. Bert got kinky
Oh dear, how could they possibly have forgotten the world's number one mixed martial artist, who just happens to be a massive Hollywood star, Steven Seagal. For Christ sake, this man nearly took down the Mafia single-handedly. ????

spidermike007
I would love to learn Seagal's "slap em a hundred times with both hands in under one minute" technique. It looks very useful. Also alot of fun to watch! Amazing that this guy is still doing two or three films a year. All straight to streaming, I guess. Mick501
Gotta give it to the UFC. One of the greatest marketing feats of the last 20 years. One minute you're a tough guy who's beaten up the kids in your neighbourhood. They stick you in a house with a few other likeminded folk, and a year later you're a world champion. Always hilarious to see these "champions" and they're lucky to have half a dozen fights. Don't get me wrong, they're decent athletes with big kahunas. Just the sport itself doesn't have any pedigree so it has to manufacture stars from an extremely tiny pool.

Not the greatest actor, and a lot of his films have poor scripts. So average films. But he does know martial arts. Did you see the series where he was a real time volunteer sheriff's deputy? He did some real training with real professional law enforcement officers. If you doubt their word, you should challenge them/him.
