May 5, 20206 yr Hi, I'm trying to call the Social Security Office in Manila this morning, but not getting through. Their webpage say +63 2301 2000 but I'm getting a "network busy" error message... Same happens if I try 004 63 2301 2000 I've called DTAC repeatedly for help, but they only can suggest that this number is incorrect. This is the number show on their web page: https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/federal-benefits/social-security/ Any help or ideas? Much thanks, Pawpcorn Edited May 5, 20206 yr by Pawpcorn

May 5, 20206 yr Author AHhhh Payment just received, a day late but very welcome!!! UbonJoe, I think an extra space crept into that web address (although oddly enough it worked) It should be (I'm pretty sure): https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/federal-benefits/social-security/ Thanks again, Pawpcorn

May 5, 20206 yr FWIW, I went through the whole application process with FBU Manila to start my SSA benefits this year. I was in Japan at the time and now in Thailand, but it's all the same process. Additionally, I have a minor child which means she also gets benefits based on her retired dad. This has the effect of doubling our household SSA benefits until she turns 18. PM me if you want more info.

I am confused. Was the payment ten days late; or one day late; or how many days late The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

If so, nobody's arrived on the 3rd if being sent to a Thai bank because the 1 May/Friday and 4 May/Monday where Thai bank holidays with a weekend between. So, most payments arrived today/Tue/5 May. And tomorrow/Wed/6May is another Thai bank holiday. Manila will not even talk to you about a missing payment unless it's at least 5 days overdue at your bank and you have confirmed with your bank no payment arrived. Edited May 5, 20206 yr by Pib
