BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand on Monday reported three new coronavirus infections and no new deaths, bringing the total to 3,031 confirmed cases and 56 fatalities since the outbreak started in January.

The new cases were a man and a woman in Nonthaburi province near the capital Bangkok and woman in Phuket in the south of the country, Taweesin Wisanuyothin, a spokesman for the government's Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration, said at a regular briefing.

Some 2,857 patients in Thailand have so far recovered.

The release of simple additional information would bring transparency and clarity to their covid 19 management methods which seem so miraculously effective.

3 positive from how many of the 70 million population tested yesterday and which provinces were they tested in?

an indication as to where they have been / likely source would be worth advising / reporting, but TIT - keep everyone guessing.

farang want too much information ....

You would think they'd learn from Vietnam. No deaths 300 cases NO general lock-down.

And with the usual 4-5x multiplier, that'd be 15?

we may have approximately 114 new cases per day and 24 reported cases per day

They'd all been in contact with a known infected person and so were already under quarantine, nothing to worry about.

Yes indeed, very similar to Cambodia and Laos!!

Why is Thailand in such a severe lockdown when they have had only 56 deaths and 3,000 odd cases overall? Seems a massive overeaction when compared with deaths in UK at near 35,000

Because they want to salvage the tourism business.  Without it there would be no hope whatsoever.

People are following the WHO's recommendations.

Enter the inforwars people.

Where did you see this part?  I was concerned as Nonthaburi is basically Bangkok
