Man Covid-19 positive after Thailand trip

Featured Replies

The Ministry of Health on Saturday reported the third Covid-19 case in less than two weeks, bringing the total to 125.

The man, a 26-year-old from Tbong Khmum province's Tbong Khmum district, arrived at the O'Beichoan border checkpoint in Banteay Meanchey province on Thursday.

He is among a group of 10 who returned from a religious school in the Thai southern province of Yala.

Make note that it was a Cambodian man who tested positive in Cambodia (after returning from Thailand).

In the Newsletter and the OP, it's confusing until you realize that. I was trying to figure out how a Thai man tested positive after a trip to Thailand then scratched my head over the names of the provinces until I realized the post was in the Cambodia forum.

(Initially, when it said he'd been to a religious school in Yala, I thought he was a Malaysian who tested positive when he returned to Malaysia. Then I saw what forum the post was in and the news article link.)
Now it's as clear as Mekong water !

So there still seems to be a pocket of infections in Yala. Hopefully they can stamp it out, which I'd imagine could be particularly challenging down there.

But he caught it at a religious gathering in Thailand

Ban religion ,, open the bars

So Thailand infects a Cambodian man. Are you sure you are allowed to say that. All I ever see is foreigners infecting Thai people.
