There's a new drive-in cinema coming to Plymouth

A retro-themed drive-in cinema is coming to Plymouth, it has been announced.

 

Set-up by Open Air Cinema UK, the "Plymouth Drive-in Film Festival" will bring family favourites, cult classics and critically acclaimed films to the people of Plymouth next month.

 

The news comes as Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed zoos, safari parks, drive-in cinemas and other outdoor attractions in England will be permitted to reopen to the public from Monday, June 15.

 

The local film festival will see Milehouse Park and Ride car park transformed into a retro cinema, with vintage 50s radio music, retro signage and staff in costumes from July 4 - 20.

A bit late for me , I left Plymouth in 2005 , not been back since.

I used to drink in a pub in Milehouse.  I wonder if it is still there.
