Bluetongue
It has to be all states making people pay not just Qld. Otherwise you would just go to Sydney, quarantine there and fly to Brisbane. But the writing is on the wall. I kind of thought this will happen just before I go so maybe in a month. Already the public narrative is why should we pay, they chose not to come home, whuch may be right or may be not right according to circumstances. But the principle is that if the Government does not trust you to isolate at home and treat you as most adults should be treated then they should pay. I would be more than happy to put up with whatever monitoring they required rather than pay 2500 to be accomodated in a room that I cannot leave except for one short period each day. Olmate
I think it’s more to do with PM pressure to open borders than the actual costs involved to states.Qld and WA has been defiant so far and Scotty is now on the open up , cost cutting path! Bluetongue
The other take, Qld is broke. Labour got in 4 or so years ago on a promise to rehire all the public servants the conservative government had sacked. Only problem is they hired them all back and then some.
