LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Unions representing 17,000 workers at Walt Disney Co's <DIS.N> Disneyland Resort in California have told the state's governor they are not convinced the theme park will be safe enough to reopen by the company's July target date.

LONDON (Reuters) - British actor Ian Holm, best known for his roles in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "Alien", has died aged 88, the Guardian newspaper said on Friday.

MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish novelist Carlos Ruiz Zafon, whose book "The Shadow of the Wind" sold more than 15 million copies, has died of cancer aged 55 in Los Angeles, his publishing house said on Friday.
